Under the brand WonkyHeart Studio, I have been making very wearable art, in the form of handmade bold jewellery, since 2015, focussing mostly on sterling silver and other metals like copper and brass.  I love working metal, bending and melting it to create organic forms that echo the natural world around me.  I am inspired by the seashore, by plants and flowers I find in my garden and on coastal walks, by textures and patterns.  

As a mostly self-taught silversmith, my jewellery designs are a bit different from what you might see in retail shops.  My designs are generally what I would like to wear myself.....and that's fun, bold, stand-out pieces - I've never wanted to wear delicate jewellery that hides in the shadows - I prefer to make a statement and to be noticed :)   My designs are original, and every piece is handcrafted by me using recycled metals - sterling silver, copper, brass, glass beads, semi precious stones, and beach finds.  The way they are made means that each one is unique - I couldn't reproduce or copy it if I tried to.
