Falling Petals in the Light

Round shapes reminiscent of petals, pebbles, droplets, and whirlpools keep appearing in my work. So do loose floral shapes, and light. Always light.   

This painting thought it wanted to be completely abstract until the gently falling petals began to appear, and the brilliant light from behind.   The result is uplifting and gentle at the same time. It makes me smile.   

Sides are 4cm deep and painted black
