Lasting Traces

Series:  Slow Memory

Lasting Traces is a smaller painting which has a strong impact.  From the Slow Memory series, this painting suggests a gentle landscape in a semi abstract style.  The season is spring or summer, the atmosphere is soft, and my memories are of many places in the Australian landscape which I recall as being safe, relaxed and happy times.

This piece is on canvas, and is beautifully finished with a float frame of flooded gum, which has a slight pinkish tone - a perfect complement to the gentle artwork.  It is ready to hang.
